Senior Risk Manager:

Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine, a Portland based medical professional liability insurance company, is seeking a healthcare professional experienced in risk management to join its Risk Management Department. This position is based in Portland and may require overnight travel in Northern New England. Responsibilities of the position include consulting with clients on risk management issues, providing them with risk prevention education and performing proactive on-site risk prevention surveys and presentations.

We invite applicants with the following minimum requirements to apply:

  1. Five years of hospital risk/quality management experience.
  2. Registered nurse or clinical experience in a hospital setting and an undergraduate degree.
  3. Knowledge of hospital regulations / medical staff operations.
  4. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  5. Self-motivated with proficiency in time management.
  6. Computer literacy.

Experience with medical professional liability insurance, CPHQ, CPHRM and a graduate degree is desired.
